Was   1898   that Theodor Backs, founder of his company, started producing his first stone for catching pigeons in Bochum, the heart of German pigeon sport.

In 1993 Michael Backs, the fourth generation starts working for the company and the product range increases again.   Meanwhile, the Backs company sells around 400 different products across Europe, China and Taiwan.   Mainly for pigeons, but also for birds, rodents and dogs.

Backs company is also involved in social activities.   For a long time, the organization Doctors Without Borders was supported.   In addition, children's houses were often donated in the past.  

Environmental protection is very important.   Theodor Backs GmbH has been purchasing green electricity from Greenpeace for years.   Plastic bags will be replaced by cotton bags in the future.
