Seresto contains active substances with activity against insects and parasites such as fleas and ticks.

In addition, these substances have demonstrated synergistic effects against insects (meaning that they potentiate each other's effectiveness) in in vitro studies.

Thus, only very low doses are needed for the collar to be effective.

The active substances in Seresto are stored in the collar and are released in very low doses, making Seresto a product with a safety profile suitable for use with families and indoors (confirmed through several safety studies).

Seresto has a suitable security profile for the environment.

As the active substances are stored in the polymer matrix, Seresto is water resistant and does not need to be removed before swimming or showering.

In animals treated with the collar, the active substances are stored in the lipid layer of the skin and fur, limiting their release into the water.

The veterinary medicinal product must not be disposed of in water courses, as it may pose a danger to fish and other aquatic organisms.

Any unused veterinary medicinal product or its waste must be disposed of in accordance with current legislation.
